As I child, I remember putting on Paul Simon’s Graceland at full volume and running around like an idiot singing “I know the rhino!” (Yeah, not the brightest little kid). That album has stayed with me as time has passed, and every now and again I’ll go back and give it another listen, because it really is a solid album the whole way through.
Today, I was over at Sloane Ranger Music and came across their Take Cover Tuesday feature, highlighting (as you may have guessed) good bands covering good songs. For example, I had no idea that “Hot Like Fire”, the bonus track off of the XX’s album, is an Aaliyah song.
One of the songs featured on this week’s installment of Take Cover Tuesday’s was the Tallest Man on Earth covering “Graceland”. Enjoy.
